At Havin a Ball—World on Wheels, we’re not just serving up gourmet food; we’re serving you an unforgettable experience! Check out who’s servin’ it up hot and Havin a Ball doing it!

Kim brings over 20 years of entrepreneurial success to Havin a Ball and is thrilled to deliver a new customized food and catering concept to the DFW metroplex.

Kim attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where she studied business with an emphasis on marketing and public relations. Her diverse career led her to hotel sales and catering in the 90s with the Fairmont, Mansion on Turtle Creek, and Hotel Crescent Court properties. While in the hotel and catering industry, Kim learned the ins and outs of providing only the finest quality food and services to her clientele.

Kim began her entrepreneurial journey when she founded American Recruiting Services, a DFW-based recruiting and staffing firm. There, she found real success and developed a genuine passion for helping others.

In 2002, Kim “emBARKed” on her second business venture, combining her love for pets and the hotel industry, when she opened Pappy’s Pet Lodge. She sold in 2011, and the company is thriving today with seven metroplex locations. In 2012, Kim started a non-profit and raised $20,000 in its first year for pet rescue groups to fund medical expenses that save animals’ lives.

Kim runs on coffee, adrenaline and bright ideas! She’s devoted her life to being a wife, stepmom, dog-rescuer, and volunteer. A former PTA member, community volunteer, event planner and fundraiser, Kim works tirelessly to change the world for good. She has a philanthropic heart and serves others, here and around the world.

Kim is Havin a Ball when she’s at her lake house with family and friends, playing tennis, traveling, delivering great food, and serving others.

Operations President, Executive Chef

When we say food with a culinary edge, we mean it.

Meet our executive chef, Patrick Stark. Patrick has over 20 years’ culinary experience and is a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. At age 19, he torched the CIA’s record high on his final practical exam and has been a trailblazer ever since.

Patrick opened the first of ten 100% non-GMO restaurants in the country. He was the executive chef for The Granada for eight years; and he pioneered Sundown at Granada—featuring DFW’s first “equal opportunity menu,” with vegan, gluten-free, omnivore and vegetarian dishes under one menu. Patrick is a Certified Culinary Educator and owner of Focus Consulting, where he has assisted over 30 restaurant launches worldwide.

Patrick is the founder of Mohawk Militia, a charity serving U.S. veterans by meeting basic needs, supplying food, offering opportunity and most of all—sharing hope. His charity has clothed over 1500 veterans with new suits.

Yep, you’ve seen him on TV too. The Stark Raving Chef has appeared on ABC and Food Network in Cutthroat Kitchen, Rewrapped, Mystery Diners and The Taste. He’s a former touring musician and can often be found at the gym. Patrick is engaged and has a rad son, Lane. He’s also dad to to two rescue cats, Grover and Betty.

Patrick is proud to lead his culinary team at Havin a Ball because he’s able to serve food and the community. He’s serving up more than a sandwich, he’s serving up hope. He’s also jamming music in the kitchen while he cooks all day long, which means Patrick Stark is always Havin a Ball.
